Wasp & Hornet Exterminator
Pest Control for Wasps and Hornets in Your Space
Paper wasps, yellow jackets, and bald-faced hornets are the main culprits we have here in the Pacific Northwest. While these insects are very good hunters, helping to reduce other insect populations, you do not want them living with you. Yellow jackets and bald-faced hornets can be highly aggressive, especially when they have found a food source they want or are protecting their nests. When insects get comfortable around your home, Pest Pros can intervene and ensure your home stays your own.
Have you ever gone out into your yard, and wondered “When did that nest get there?” Wasp colonies are started with a single queen at the beginning of the season in early spring. She lays the first brood of eggs, and does all of the caregiving, hunting, and “chores” of the nest until they are adults. After that, her job is to lay eggs, and the workers do all of the rest of the “chores”. This is why most nests go unnoticed until later in the season when the size of the nests increase, as well as the number of wasps in the nest. By the end of summer, these nests can contain up to several thousand wasps or hornets.
Wasps and hornets are not naturally aggressive, but if threatened or feel in danger, they will become aggressive and attack. They can sting multiple times without dying, and venom from certain insects can cause adverse physical reactions in humans. If you think you have an infestation, call the Pest Pros professionals immediately.
